Singapore ➡ Sydney (Part 3)

After the flight back from Sydney, we got back into Singapore in the late evening. Some of just just went to a bar inside Chijmes to have a few drinks (cocktails in my case) and then had an early night as we had another early start again the next morning.

The next morning we had arranged to meet at around 10am to get an uber back to Sentosa Island but this time we were off to Universal Studios.

I have been to Universal Studios before in LA but this one was more of a theme park than a studio tour.

Each section of the park had its own theme: Madagascar, Far Far Away land, New York, Puss in Boots etc. In fact there was so much going on and I took so many pictures, I’m just gonna sit back and let you enjoy them for a bit…

Oh in between going on the rides we did find an intriguing restaurant to have some lunch in (don’t ask about the boiled egg, it was part of the meal deal). However, the rest of the dish was really nice, butter chicken and pilau rice!

Anyway, let me leave you to enjoy the pictures again…

At the end of the day, we came across the minions doing their little debut outside the minion shop which was a nice way to round up the day. We had literally spent the whole day at universal studios but it was a good day for what it’s worth. We managed to get tickets for $60 (singapore dollars) which included a $5 meal voucher to use – which we spent towards the lunch. There is pretty much a ride there to suit everybody so no one would be left out.

That evening after we got back, we got ready again and went out to dinner at a restaurant called Fatty’s. I think we lived up to the name, as the amount of food we were served was huge. I think because crew come to this restaurant a lot to eat, they have like a set menu that they bring out and it’s so cheap for everyone to have and plenty of food to go around. There was stir fried veg, salted prawns, spring rolls, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, pork, beef…yeah I think that was everything!

After dinner I think the rest of the group wanted to go back to Chijmes to have some drinks so myself and another colleague decided that we would go to the Marina Bay Sands hotel to have a drink at the rooftop bar. It is quite expensive there so we only ordered the one drink so we could take our pictures. This was the hard part, as some parts of the hotel are for guests only so getting from pictures with the view behind was hard but we managed it.

The view at the top is absolutely amazing! It was a little up like a Christmas tree and you could see miles ahead of you. I may have got a tad trigger happy taking the photos but I only uploaded the best ones on here to share – hope you like them!

Once we were happy with the photos we had taken, we then walked to Gardens by the Bay to see the super trees. It was very close by, only about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. There is usually a light show on that seems all the lights “dance” to some music but as we were out to dinner we had missed the last show. Luckily it is still open for you to just have a look and see them lit up, which was so pretty in front of the Marina bay hotel.

Then it was back to the hotel. Majority of people had gone to bed or chilling in their rooms but I decided I would go across to Chijmes to meet up with a couple of people to have a few more cocktails. Then we decided we would watch a film so we stayed up majority of the night/morning watch films before falling asleep. Which then concluded in me sleeping the majority of the next day. So that was my last day wasted before I got picked up but it was all worth it.

I definitely enjoyed my time in both Singapore and Sydney and so happy I finally got to experience it.

Stay Tuned for the vlog of this trip✌

I enjoy reading your entries. May I ask what a team flight means?

I would enjoy it even more if you talked about your work in more detail :). x
